This past weekend, I took a ride south towards Wausau to check out some of the fall foliage, which was very nice! It was also nice to see cheaper gas prices. I paid 2.45 a gallon at Wittenburg! However, as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Yesterday, I saw that the price for a gallon of gas in Rhinelander at certain stations was $2.99 a gallon. When you see a substantial increase like that, you have to ask yourself, Why?? Did an oil refinery have a mishap? Or, did someone in the oil industry just have a bad day? At any rate, why send the typical consumer into sticker shock!? I understand a few cents here and there, but when it goes up by 40-50 cents, you can’t help but wonder why. And usually these prices go up because the powers that be in the oil industry have us over a barrel. Oh well! Take it in stride, I guess!
