Hello, and welcome to another Hodag Country Festival Flashback! As we count down to the 2023 Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander, let’s look back at the artists who performed at past festivals.
Collin Raye made his first appearance at the Hodag Country Festival back in 1998, just in time to promote his album, The Walls Came Down. Although he would continue to record through 2012, the Nineties was his decade to shine, boasting over twenty top-ten hits, including four number one tunes, Love, Me, In This Life, My Kind of Girl and I Can Still Feel You.
Raye would not return to the Hodag until close to twenty years later, appearing at the 40th anniversary festival in 2017. Mike Michalak, host of the Morning Hodag on 97.3 WHDG had the opportunity to interview Collin Raye, which you can hear below.
Collin Raye would return in 2019 as part of the Roots and Boots tour featuring Raye along with Sammy Kershaw and Aaron Tippin.
