These contest rules are specific to the Hodag Country 97.3 WHDG Top Song of 1994 Cancun Vacation Giveaway (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a WHDG (the “Company” or the “Station”). These rules are intended to supplement the General Contest Rules, however, to the extent that the General Contest Rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s General Contest Rules are available at the Station’s studio at 3616 Highway 17 North, Rhinelander WI 54501 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the contest page on the Station’s website http://www.whdg.com

When:

The Hodag Country 97.3 WHDG Top Song of 1994 Cancun Vacation Giveaway will run from 10/07/24 through 10/19/24. The winner of the contest will be announced 10/21/24

Who Can Enter

To enter, contestants must be residents of the State of Wisconsin, who are 21 years of age or older on or before 05/02/24.

How to Enter:

There are 2 ways to enter:

Listeners can enter the contest at www.whdg.com and cast a vote during any of the four voting periods:

Round 1 12:00am, 10/07/24 through 12:00am, 10/10/24

Round 2 12:01am, 10/10/24 through 12:00am, 10/13/24

Round 3 12:01am, 10/13/24 through 12:00am, 10/16/24

Round 4 12:01am, 10/16/24 through 12:00am, 10/19/24

Listeners who don’t want to complete the bracket can enter by mail: send entry to “Hodag Country 97.3 WHDG Top Song of 1994 Cancun Vacation Giveaway”, WHDG, PO Box 557, Rhinelander, WI 54501. Include your name, address, telephone number, email and date of birth. Mail entries must arrive before 5 p.m. October 19, 2024. All mail-in entries will be added to the database entries.

Odds of winning depend on total number of entries received.

Grand Prize:

The Grand Prize winner will win a4-day/3-night trip to Cancun, Mexico. The trip is for two (2) adults departing from either Milwaukee or Chicago O’Hare. The trip includes three-night accommodations for two (2) in one (1) hotel room at Riu Palace Peninsula Resort in Cancun, round-trip charter air, transfer to/from resort, all food/drinks at the resort and the assistance of an in-resort Apple Representative. The trips are valid for travel through September 30, 2025.

Winner and Guest acknowledge that they choose to travel at their own risk.

Taxes, insurance, any applicable baggage fees, transfer to/from resort and additional expenses (such as optional excursions, spa treatments, phone calls, and souvenirs) are the sole responsibility of the winner. All departure taxes, insurance, fees and fuel surcharges (approx. $335-460 per person) will be advised by Apple Promotional Bookings and must be paid by the traveler to Apple Vacations prior to departure.

All Vacations are approved on a promotional basis & are subject to availability. Blackout dates do apply. Travel dates are final and will not be extended. Travel is not permitted during holiday periods including both 5 days prior and after. Trips are non-transferable and cannot be exchange for cash. Apple Vacations reserves the right to substitute the vacation with another of equal value, equal Apple rating or within the same hotel chain should any unforeseen circumstance occur. Hotel to be determined by Apple Vacations. Trips are valid for two adults only per room and do not include any special promotions. No room upgrades. The Grand Prize winners are responsible for paying all applicable taxes and will be issued an IRS 1099 form. Value of Grand Prize is approximately $2,500

Winner, on his own behalf and on behalf of Winner’s heirs, successors or assigns, in consideration of participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, does hereby COVENANT TO FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE NRG Media, WHDG, contest sponsors, and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to Winner’s participation in or winning of any contest and/or acceptance, award, ownership or use of prize, including transportation and travel, after it is awarded. Winner and guest travel at their own risk.

International travel generally requires a valid passport or other appropriate documentation. By entering this contest, listener confirms they have checked the passport requirement and other information for the destination country prior to entry. WHDG and NRG Media are not responsible for Winner’s or Guest’s inability to travel for any reason whatsoever, including non-acceptance of travel documents, government shut down, or any travel restrictions imposed for health or safety reasons, or Winner’s or Guest’s illness.

WHDG and contest sponsors are not responsible for a contestant’s inability to acquire transportation to a location to use or accept the prize, personal circumstances prohibiting participation in a contest or other circumstances beyond their control.

Station acts as an agent only and does not control the various aspects of prize including but not limited to health and safety measures of airlines, airports or destination locations; transportation, amenities, lodging or meals.

The Hodag Country 97.3 WHDG Top 30 Songs of 1994 Cancun Vacation Giveaway will run from 09/16/24 through 09/29/24. One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries on September 30, 2024.

Who Can Enter

To enter, contestants must be residents of the State of Wisconsin, who are 21 years of age or older on or before September 16, 2024.
