The One To Watch for Wednesday September 13 2023

Howdy, and welcome to another One To Watch! This week, it’s singer/songwriter Jon Langston, a guy who has been working in the Country Music business for about ten years. According to his online bio, he was born in Loganville, Georgia. He enjoyed music but excelled at sports and attended Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina and played football until concussions sidelined him. Turning to music, his career began in 2013 opening for Chase Rice. This led to two independently released EPs of songs including two tunes that sold well, Right Girl Wrong Time and When It Comes To Loving You. As a result of their success, Langston was signed with UMG Nashville in 2018. Later that year, Langston was moved to EMI Nashville, and 32 Bridge Entertainment, an imprint developed by Luke Bryan. Langston had opened for Bryan in 2017 for his Farm Tour. On September eight his first full album was released. The title track, Heart On Ice, is our One To Watch for this week.
