Last weekend, I attended a family reunion on my mother’s side, held every other year. I always enjoy re-connecting and reminiscing with family members, mainly cousins about growing up and spending time on Grandpa and Grandma’s farm in Langlade County, all the fun and occasional mischief we got into. What I probably enjoy the most, is my Aunt bringing along the various photographs and newspaper clippings from over the years! I have always found it interesting to see how my family evolved, in fact, some years ago, a distant cousin did research on our family tree, and traced our lineage back to fur trader Louis Joliet of Marquette and Joliet.
