With the Powerball Jackpot recently reaching over One Billion Dollars, I got to thinking, what would happen if someone won that obscene amount of money? Grant it, chances are about one in 292 million, , think of all you could do: pay off bills, help someone in need, etc… you can elect to receive annuity payments of over 5 million dollars annually for over 30 years, or take a lump sum of 589 million dollars before taxes! The downsize would be all the people you haven’t seen in years knocking at your door, looking for financial help! But, then again, your chances of winning are one in 292 million!
