The first full weekend of February is almost upon us, and it turns out to be a big sports weekend, with the Winter Olympics kicking off Friday in Italy, and let’s not forget Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. For those of us tuning in and having parties, with food and beverages, some facts to ponder: Americans will eat 1 billion chicken wings, along with 10 million pounds of ribs, making this Sunday the fourth largest holiday for ribs after the Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day, 13 million pounds of potato chips, 9 million pounds of tortilla chips, and 5.5 million pounds of pretzels. As far as the matchup goes, the Seattle Seahawks are currently listed as 4.5-point favorites against the New England Patriots. Being a lifelong fan of the Packers, I’ll be rooting for Seattle! My current plans are to tune in for the game and maybe do some channel-surfing during the halftime show. Anyway, enjoy the weekend, and …. Go Seattle!
