Here we are, winding down the month of July, and a couple of events are happening soon. The Oneida County Fair is kicking off Thursday, the 30th, and since I was a kid, I’ve always looked forward to county fairs, with all the rides, the entertainment, and of course, all that fair food! Now that I’m older, I think I’ll skip the rides! But fairs are always fun, nonetheless. Also coming up this weekend at the Hodag Country Festival Grounds, it’s the Saluting Heroes Balloon Rally, this Friday and Saturday, with more than 20 hot air balloons, along with tethered balloon rides, food, camping, kids activites, and the magical lighted balloon glow at night! I missed it last year, so I will definitely be attending this year! Who knows, I may take a balloon ride!? The weather should be decent this weekend, so get out and enjoy!! – Larry
