Howdy, and welcome to another One To Watch! This week we’re featuring a native of our Neighbor to the North! No, not the U.P. It’s Canada! Steven Lee Olsen was born near Toronto and moved to Nashville in 2004 to pursue a career in Country Music. So far, he’s been successful in his native country, scoring nine charted hits in Canada. He’s also written tunes for major artists like Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, and Kip Moore, and was nominated for a Grammy for co-writing Kieth Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color”.
In 2014 he was signed by Columbia Nashville and the song “Raised By A Good Time” got some airplay in the US. Olsen continues to do well on the Canadian Country charts. Perhaps his latest will give him more exposure in the lower 48. It’s called, “Nashville Or Nothing.”
