Howdy, and welcome to another One To Watch! Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14. So it’s not a coincidence that our One To Watch song was released just in time for the day we honor motherhood. Country Music newcomer EJ Vickers released his song, I Love You, which honors his mother. The Cross Plains Indiana native was born in a musical family, picking up his first guitar at the age of three, according to an online bio.
This is Vickers’s first tune for Country radio, and he’s got the backing of a big name in the industry. Teddy Gentry, the co-founder of the group Alabama, produced the record.
And it gets even better for Vickers, as he’s set to make his debut at CMA Fest in Nashville next month when he performs on the Spotlight Stage Friday, June 9.
