97.3 Hodag Country

Hello, and welcome to another Hodag Country Festival Flashback! As we count down to the 2023 Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander, let’s look back at the artists who performed at past festivals.

Remember the band Gloriana? Brothers Tom and Mike Gossin, along with Cheyanne Kimball and Rachel Reinert had networked and gradually met to form a band in 2008. A year later, Wild At Heart was released, and Gloriana had a top-20 Country hit. The band also took home the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award at the American Music Awards in 2009, followed by the Top New Vocal Group award at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2010.

They made their first and only appearance at the Hodag Country Festival in 2010 to promote their debut self-titled album. WHDG afternoon personality Al Higgins chatted with Mike Gossin prior to their show.

In 2011, a year after their performance at the Hodag, Cheyanne Kimball decided to leave the band while they were working on their second album. As a trio, Gloriana recorded their biggest hit (Kissed You) Goodnight. They would eventually record a third album and by 2017, Tom Gossin and Rachel Reinert had called it a day, effectively disbanding Gloriana.
