It’s the start of something new for Drew Baldridge.
The “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” hitmaker has released his new single, “Tough People,” and teamed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville to promote it.
The Nashville-based label is home to Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean and other country stars.
Written with Luke Combs, Jordan Walker and Adam Sanders, “Tough People” is an ode to the everyday heroes, including first responders, soldiers, single moms and blue-collar workers.
“Our world is full of tough people fighting to stay ahead every day. But for me, it’s my story about not giving up on my dreams,” says Drew.
“I had to risk everything to make ‘She’s Somebody’s Daughter’ a hit,” he shares. “It was definitely a tough time for me, but our team kept our heads down, worked hard, and pulled out a win—hard work pays off, good beats evil, and tough times make tough people.”
Drew also added an extra personal touch to “Tough People” by returning to his hometown of Patoka, Illinois, to film its music video.
