Howdy, and welcome to the very first One To Watch for a New Year! This time around, we’re featuring singer/songwriter Max McNown. Originally from Oregon, McNown traveled to California with a guitar and a dream. According to the bio on his website, videos of him busking on a pier made an impact online and eventually grew into a legion of supporters on TikTok. As his popularity on social media grew, he was approached about auditioning for TV talent shows, and he got accepted after auditioning for one (American Idol?). He turned it down. This People Magazine article explains why.
Today, McNown has three EP’s of original music and hopes to reach the next plateau with his latest, Better Me For You (Brown Eyes).
