Howdy, and welcome to another One To Watch! This week we’re featuring a singer whose last name you might recognize. Cali Tucker is the daughter of LaCosta Tucker, who recorded several country songs in the mid-seventies through the early eighties as LaCosta. If that doesn’t ring a bell, her aunt is Tanya Tucker. So Cali was born into the music industry, and excelled at an early age, according to her online bio.
Tucker’s career jumped after appearing on the voice during season six in 2014. Although eliminated during the Battle rounds, she got work singing at major Las Vegas venues. In 2021 she recorded her first single, and 2024 saw the release of two tunes, including our One To Watch, Country Couture.
